A Holistic Approach to Healing

For decades, mental health was seen through a narrow lens—was it nature or nurture? In reality, healing is far more complex. Every person’s journey is unique, which is why I take an eclectic approach to counseling, integrating psychodynamic, person-centered, somatic, and Polyvagal therapies.

Psychodynamic therapy helps uncover how past experiences shape present patterns. By exploring childhood influences and inner child work, we can gently release what no longer serves you.

Person-centered therapy means that you are the expert on your life. I provide a warm, supportive space where you feel safe to be yourself, knowing that healing happens through feeling truly seen and heard.

Somatic therapy recognizes the wisdom of the body. Emotions often show up as physical sensations—tightness in the throat, heaviness in the stomach. Tuning into these feelings can lead to profound relief and insight.

Polyvagal theory focuses on the nervous system’s role in mental health. Simple techniques like gentle movement, self-massage, or humming can calm the body’s stress response, making this approach especially helpful for anxiety, PTSD, and chronic illness.

There’s no single path to healing. Together, we’ll explore the tools that work best for you—helping you find self-acceptance, relief from distress, and the freedom to live a more joyful, fulfilling life.
